March 2011 - Trip to see Aunt Katie & Uncle Trey

We decided to take a trip up to DC and visit Katie, Trey, and Haley.  Tyler was super excited to ride on a plane. We brought movies for him to wach, snacks, blankies, bears  - the works! He enjoyed watching out the window while we were going up - until we got higher and higher.  Then Daddy had to close it.  We hit some pretty bad turbulence about an hour away from there - so rough that our drinks and snacks slid on our trays.  Tyler did great - he was scared but didn't cry - just laid down across our laps as we held him tight.

November 2010 - Miscellaneous Pictures

Tyler ended up with a staph infection from eczema (acute skin dermatitis).  The eczema started around early September and we battled it for a while and saw different doctors.  It started on his left hip area so I also changed to Huggies Pure and Natural which were supposedly better for your skin.  It ended up getting so bad it got infected and by the time I took him to the doc that realized this it was a pretty big area.  He put him on both oral and topical antibiotics.  It seemed to look a little worse than it hurt but finally by early December it was gone. 

With all of the skin issues and Tyler showing some interest in using the big potty, we decided to tackle potty training over the Thanksgiving break.  Tyler did great!  We ended up skipping the pull-ups (eczema seemed to flare up after one of those) and pretty much go to cotton underwear.

November 2010 - Texans football game

Rodney received 3 tickets to one of the Texans football games. Tyler had a great time, although we didn't make it much past halftime. It was right at noon which was naptime, but he hung in there long enough to enjoy it!
