Galveston Trip - May 2010

We decided last minute to head down to Galveston one Friday night. This was Tyler's first time to see the beach! We got in around 8:30 pm, so we had to keep Tyler up in the car so he could see the water. He loved staying in the hotel with us - it was like one big slumber party!

We got up way early Saturday morning so that we could get a quick breakfast and then get on the beach before it got too hot. I think we were on the beach by 8 or 8:30. Tyler wasn't quite sure of the water. He walked in it for a little while by himself, but enjoyed it more if one of us was holding him. He did enjoy all of the sand (we brought some of his sandbox toys to play with).

We spent a couple of hours out there and then went back to the hotel to try out the pool and then eat a snack and cool off for a while. Then we walked down the seawall and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. Tyler barely sat down long enough to eat - he wanted to walk around and see everything. They had some gorillas and elephants that would 'come alive' every 20 minutes or so and was very intrigued by this.

After lunch, we packed up and headed back home. It was a quick trip, but way fun!

Just sending out one last email before shutting it down for the night...
