Weekend fun

After a busy week at work, we looked forward to a nice, relaxing weekend. It was pretty nasty weather outside, so most of our time was spent indoors. In fact, I was the only one to go outside on Saturday (trip to Wal Mart during Tyler's nap). Surprisingly, we were able to keep T entertained indoors. He watched a part of one of his John Deere movies, did puzzles (LOVES puzzles), and played with his trucks, tractors, and other toys. We had a good time with his bat and ball from Uncle Trey & Aunt Katie. In addition to hitting the ball off the tee, it was Rodney's idea to let Tyler pitch to him. That was pretty entertaining!

Today was a much nicer day outside - no rain and starting to warm up. After Tyler's nap, we spent some time outside. Granny and Papaw had given Tyler an electric John Deere riding tractor for Christmas. Tyler was slowly warming up to it until today. We were finally able to get him to push the pedal himself with his foot and he took off. ...And kept going for about an hour and a half! He went up and down the road (SO glad we live on a cul-de-sac). He's got the pushing of the pedal down - and is getting better at steering, but you have to walk beside him and help him out every now and then. He did run smack dab into a curb a couple of times, but wasn't going very fast to where he (or the tractor) was hurt. (videos to come...)

He's growing up so incredibly fast! At daycare, they started working with him to drink out of a cup, so I picked up some small ones and he hasn't had a sippy cup since Friday morning. He has spills sometimes, but is getting better and better! They also have a small sink at daycare where they wash hands and then get a paper towel to dry them and throw the towel in the trash. So now when he uses a paper towel, he wants to throw it away in our trashcan. I can honestly say daycare has been great for him!

Getting ready to practice his batting skills (videos to come)
Ready to go build something!
